The Wonders of Photoshop

I use Photoshop like most other bloggers on the planet. However, I have to say that I never knew what it was really capable of doing. For over a year, people have seen picture after picture of Britney Spears looking like complete and utter trash. Chances are you have seen people living in the projects that did not look as high as she often does. Yet despite all that, these pictures are running in September. They are supposed to be of Britney Spears.

I will admit the pictures do look nice. They look so nice in fact that I have never seen her look so good. She didn’t look this good when she was a teenager or when she was married and pregnant on Dateline. She didn’t look this good when she was tripping on the sidewalk and dropping her baby and she certainly doesn’t exude sex appeal when she is out at the clubs every night.

So, why does Allure seem to think that the American public would fall for pictures like these? The flawless skin, the sex tussled hair, and the absolutely toned body suggests they swapped her body out with a Playmate’s body. Looking at the pictures I am completely missing the comparison to Britney. They Photoshopped her so much I don’t even think the head looks like hers.
This was meant to be an attempt to help Britney’s comeback career. There was supposed to be a fabulous article about Britney in with the pictures. Unfortunately, Britney stood up the interviewer so rather than the new comeback piece there is a dismal article about Britney’s life.

If you want to see the face of Photoshopped Celebrities check out Allure’s September issue. I cannot imagine anyone could do any better work than they did on Britney.
