A day or two ago we reported that Britney was working with Criss Angel (according to him), anyway to perfect her opening act on the upcoming MTV VMAs. However, it seems that Brit Brit may not be the front runner in the celebrity awards show any longer. E News is saying that sources have told them about talks cooling between MTV and Britney.
There are some other people in talks though and this could lead to some better and more talent oriented options, which might be available. One big name that is in talks according to sources is Justin Timberlake. It makes sense that this hot shot would be up for the spot. After all, he is at the top of the list of nominees with seven possible awards.
Currently, there is no confirmation from MTV on Timberlake or Britney and whether either of them will be the opening act or any major part of the event that will air on September 9.
