If you are from the U.S. you should already know who and what Ugly Betty is unless, of course, you live under a rock. This new show is also one of televisions most popular shows currently. America loves the beautiful on the inside, Betty Suarez, also known as Ugly Betty, played by the gorgeous America Ferrera. Despite the fact that Ugly Betty is just moving into its second season, the show already sports two Golden Globes under their belt including Best Television Series, Musical, or Comedy, and Best Actress in a Television Series, Musical, or Comedy for America Ferrera.
Ugly Betty is the amazing story of a square peg in a world of round holes. The intelligent but fashion challenged Betty Suarez is the true beauty in the skin-deep world of high fashion. Betty works as the assistant to dashing yet fumbling womanizer Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius), editor-in-chief of fashion industry bible MODE.
Both are newcomers to the ultra-competitive fashion scene, and need to constantly fight off attacks from jealous enemies that include fashion diva Wilhelmina (former Miss America Vanessa Williams), her toadying assistant Marc (Michael Urie), and conniving receptionist Amanda (Becki Newton). Heading away from the glitz of Manhattan, at the end of the day Betty goes home to her family. She lives in Queens with her loving father Ignacio (Tony Plana), spitfire sister Hilda (Ana Ortiz) and fashion-obsessed nephew Justin (Mark Indelicato) who lend her support whenever she is in need.
Buena Vista Home Entertainment will be releasing Ugly Betty: The Complete First 
Season – The Bettyfied Edition on August 21. However, thanks to Buena Vista, Literary Illusions and Gossip Giants you can get one for absolutely no cost. The suggested retail ranges from $38.99 - $58.00. The discs contain all 23 episodes of the first season on six discs. Bonus features include “Becoming Ugly” allows the viewer to find out what it means to become Bettyfied. You also get a behind-the-scenes look in “Ala Mode” and “Green in the New Black” where fashion, sets, and magic are discussed about how the show is created. You also will receive deleted scenes, audio commentaries, bloopers, and a Spanish audio track.
