Say Goodbye to Anchorwoman
Anchorwoman has been cancelled after just one episode, though after hearing my mother complain about how stupid this show actually was, it comes as no surprise. Apparently, she wasn’t the only one to hate this new concept. Anchorwoman received a 1.0 rating in the adult demographic. FOX must have opted to cut their losses while they could.
On the off chance you were a fan of the show, you can see the rest of the episodes through Fox On Demand. The show was labeled as a comedy/reality series about a dippy swimsuit model and former WWE diva who transforms to become an anchorwoman for a tiny station in Texas with poor ratings. While it was a reality show, it obviously wasn’t popular enough to beat out reruns. Until the fall season begins, the Anchorwoman time slot (Wednesdays 8PM) will contain old episodes of Til Death.
Drew Carey & the Price is Right
Apparently, the new season of The Price is Right, will begin with a price jump. While the network isn’t offering too much information about the price of the prizes or what they are, they have said that contestants will have a chance to win some of the most expensive cars that they have ever given away. Filming has already begun and will continue through October. Free tickets are still available.
The Next DUI Star: Austin Nichols
If you don’t recognize the name, don’t feel bad because I didn’t either. Nichols was on the now defunct John from Cincinnati. Apparently he is not taking his lost job as well as the other stars. Nichols was arrested in Jackson, Michigan late one night for driving under the influence. It wasn’t hard to tell he was drunk, considering he was pulling a Nicole Richie (driving the wrong way down a one-way street).
Too bad he wasn’t in LA because they wouldn’t have blinked an eye. However, in Michigan, Nichols could face up to 93 days in jail if convicted, community service, and a $500 fine.
Kevin Smith Jumps into TV
Kevin Smith, writer and director of Clerks and many other hilarious cult-movies, is making a temporary jump into television to try something new on some different television shows this season. For starters, Smith is behind the directing for CW’s newest pilot, Reaper. You can also expect to see his name on the writing and directing credits for the first episode of the second season of Heroes. Finally, Smith will be directing an episode of Battlestar Galactica in what will be the shows final season.

if there’s nothing better on, why not just run the thing? At least its new programming. What’s one more crappy show anyway?
I’m sure it’s no “According to Jim”…….
You have a very nice site.
