Now that Harry Potter is all grown up he does much more than practice wizardry in films that may or may not be worth watching. Recently, Daniel Radcliffe received critical acclaim for performing on the London stage in the play, Equus, where he dropped his clothes and picked up the role of a tortured teen. Despite the bothersome results, when the media reported little Harry would be naked, ticket sales went wild, reaching $4 million in advanced sales.
Even with the big success, Radcliffe is nervous of the idea that the play is going to be done in New York, as well. The reason, which he told to Reuters, is that he feels that New York audiences can be shrewder than London audiences.
Radcliffe says, “I would be very nervous because I think that (the audiences are) even more discerning than in London,” he said. “But I know we have a good show, it was a good show when we did it in London and hopefully if we do it again it will still be that good. It has to be better.”
In the meantime, Radcliffe will be starring in December Boys, which opens this month and he is due to begin shooting Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
