Daddy Wants the Money
September 7th, 2007 — Drugs & DUIs, Music News
The Daily Mail is reporting that Amy Winehouse’s dad is looking to take control of her money. Not only that, but he also wants to ensure that hubby Blake cannot get his mitts on it either. Currently, Blake handles the money in the relationship and it is rumored he plans to begin managing Winehouse’s career in the near future.
Mitch Winehouse wants to take control of the money because he feels if he cuts off her drug money then it will help her get clean. Well, that or she will become a part-time hooker like other drug addicts. Mitch has told sources, “It makes me sick. He is the reason she will die. I am not going to see him get everything that she worked so hard for.”
Avril Lavigne is too humble for Words
September 7th, 2007 — Photo Ops, Pop Tarts, Music News
Avril Lavigne was interviewed recently for Q Magazine. I can see where a celebrity might have an inflated self-ego, but this is a bit ridiculous. It seems that Avril’s biggest fan is herself and with as highly as she speaks of herself I don’t think she will ever be dethroned as her own biggest fan. It’s almost sad how great she thinks she is. Don’t get me wrong. She isn’t horrible, but with as great as she thinks she is you could see her writing her own reviews. “I just listened to my album and WOW! I blew myself away.”
Check out what Avril had to say about her success and see what you think.
“Selling 24 million albums hasn’t really affected me, but it has changed things. I can’t walk into a room full of people any more without everybody turning their heads, and I can only eat in certain restaurants where I know I won’t get hassled. But that’s OK. I was born to do this, and so I’ve learned how to cope.”
Hilton vs. Hallmark: That’s Not So Hot
September 7th, 2007 — Celebuskanks, celebutantes
Paris Hilton is suing Hallmark Cards because apparently the socialite that is known for nothing good is also unable to take a joke. She claims that Hallmark is using her likeness without her permission on a parody-style greeting card entitled “Paris’ First Day as a Waitress.”
I seriously don’t get why she’s whining. As someone who has been a waitress, I am certain that Paris couldn’t hack it. Well, maybe in one of those Chinese bars where they serve penis on plates, but that’s for another article entirely.
Gordon Ramsay’s Commando Cooking Accident
September 7th, 2007 — Illness and Accidents, High Profile Figures
You may know star chef, Gordon Ramsay from Hell’s Kitchen where he is often seen yelling at people who are supposed to be chefs but that continuously screw up their food while on camera or from the BBC’s Kitchen Nightmares where Ramsay rips apart failing restaurants in an attempt to make them more successful. However, in his entire career (or any other chef for that matter) he probably never dreamed of this happening to him. What did he do you ask? Recently, Ramsay roasted one of his testicles. Foxy Brown to do Hard Time
September 7th, 2007 — Celebrity Crime
Foxy Brown had her sentencing hearing today and it did not go as well for her as she would have hoped. In fact, she will be spending a year in the slammer. The Judge, Melissa Jackson sentenced Brown because she felt that the rapper did not take her probation seriously and she wanted to treat her like she would any other defendant, celebrity or not.
Brown attempted to ask for another chance saying, “Being in jail humbled me in a way I never imagined. I realize that is not where I want to be.” The judge wasn’t hearing any of that though and sent her to jail, informing her that she had given her a chance previously and that chance had been squandered away.
ER Star Dealing with Croatian Paternity Suit
September 7th, 2007 — Family Drama, Actors
Goran Visnjic plays Luka Kovac on the NBC drama E.R. However, in real life he has a little drama going on, as well. It seems that the married star, who just adopted a four month old baby, might have another baby out there, too. A Croatian woman, Mirela Rupic, is claiming that Visnjic impregnated her in the summer of 2006. The couple was not, nor have they ever, been a couple. The event of conception was the result of a one night stand.
Visnjic has been married since 1999. He does not deny that the incident could have happened. However, he does claim that he was jet lagged from the flight and drunk so he doesn’t remember what, if anything, occurred that night.
