While I don’t think I’ve ever heard the song, it was an amazing performance by Alicia Keys. It was also live (and yes, that’s a Britney diss, because hers was not so live). Keys was decked out with a “retro feeling” disco look including some glitter on her eye lashes. She looked great, which only complimented her fabulous performance.
The crowd loved the performance and her talent shined through on this one. Half way through the song, she flipped songs to “Freedom” and the backdrop opened to show a band and backup singers. Keys went over to the piano and ripped things up! She had everyone on their feet clapping and dancing. George Michael would have been proud.
If you missed the performance, it’s too bad. It was one of the really good ones of the show. Let’s hope you can all see it tomorrow on YouTube.

What a class act! Maturity, substance, funk, style and a real talent all the way!
can we say talent!! She was incredible. That was the best performance. George michael should give her a call on this one. She tore it up. Her song is amazing!!! It has depth and funk and the writing is coming from her heart.

I must not have been watching the same show as y’all. I love Alicia Keys, but her performace yesterday didn’t at all seem like her. And I was very disappointed. I think she screamed too much and was off key every now and again. Sorry, I just didn’t think it was very good.

I viewed the show again today and I don’t see where Alicia is “screaming.” — I also did not hear any bad notes. If I am wrong and she did hit a bad note, then the cause would have to be that her monitors were not working correctly and she could not hear her own voice. There’s just no way someone with all her musical training would hit a bad note. Hitting the right note is just intuitive. — I applaud the fact that she got up there and was really singing… and didn’t wimp out by lip syncing. (I still don’t understand how people can call themselves “singers” and then lip sync through a performance. Singers SING.) — I also like the fact that Alicia has the courage to change up her show, her style, her songs and not just be “safe.” –She commanded that stage..and in heels too!! — Alicia, you go girl! –
As for Britney, it appears that she needs to go back to the drawing board and think about where she wants to go from here. - It’s fairly obvious that she was not ready to get back into action. Those who make money off her may have pushed her into doing something she was not mentally ready to do. — She should take some time to (literally) get her act together. — I wish her the best.
Alicia Keys was awesome!!! I don’t know what show you all watched but she was not off key nor was she screaming!!! Maybe your just all upset b’cause she didn’t do a Britney!!! Ha, Ha, Ha!!!
