VMA Music Awards: Rihanna Wins Monster Single of the Year at VMAs

The nominations for the Monster Single of the Year are all excellent songs. I had a seriously hard time guessing who would win when it came to these songs. Overall, the group offered plenty of good songs and made it hard to pick in the end. The artists nominated were:

Avril Lavigne – “Girlfriend”
Lil Mama – “Lip Gloss”
Mims – “This is Why I’m Hot”
Plain White T’s – “Hey There Delilah”
Rihanna w/ Jay Z – “Umbrella”
Shop Boyz – “Party Like a Rock Star”
T-Pain w/ Yung Joc – “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)”
Timbaland w/ Keri Hilson, DOE, & Sebastian “The Way I Are”

The winner of the VMA is Rihanna for “Umbrella” and the winning video has been included for your listening pleasure. Rihanna wore a hot pink floor length dress and gave a standard “thanks to everyone” speech.
