I’ve seen some of the weirdest fashion trends. I recall when the bell bottoms came back. I remember the one pant leg up, one down. How about the neon phase of the 80s? I even remember the “pick in the hair” trend that Scary Movie parodied in multiple incarnations.
Whats up with the pacifier? I recall a very brief, pacifier trend, but didn’t Rapper Lil Mama get the memo? That trend ended sometime in the 90s…or whenever you’re about 24 months old. At first, I couldn’t tell if Lil Mama had a pacifier in her mouth or found a new way to decorate her grillz. Either way, it wasn’t working for us, and we gotta wonder, if she sucked it the entire night, or not.
In my closing thoughts, I’m just thankful she wasn’t up for an award. Can you imagine her speech as she tried to talk past her glittery binky? She’d have to pop the paci out of her mouth to talk like a big girl, and frankly, I just don’t think she’s ready for that.

why all the bad comments about Lil Mama’s outfit? She was making a statement.
At least she didn’t go on stage and pull the stunt that Sarah Silverman pulled. I lost my appetite after watching Sara Silverman.
If Sarah Silverman can get away with saying that kind of crap on the stage(I won’t repeat it online out of courtesy for the public viewers of this forum), Lil Mama ought to be able to get away with wearing a silly outfit.

As for Sarah Silverman….she was saying what nearly everyone else was thinking. Paris is a whore…Hello she’s hanging on a new guy every week, drunker than a skunk, and probably high. In the immortal words of her…”That’s hot”. Britney is a bad mother. She is about to lose her boo boos to K-Fed…Anyone who is gonna lose their kids to K-Fed isn’t parenting the right way.

It was just a silly outfit, it shouldn’t be taken that seriously. As long as people are talking. And she was ‘up for an award’, Monster Single of the Year in fact, just because she didn’t win, doesn’t mean she wasn’t nominated. People..
I’m sorry, but I really like her outfit! Maybe the VMA’s wasn’t the best place to wear that outfit. I’m actually looking for something similar to her outfit for Halloween!! LOVE IT!! and it looks sooo good on her.
When interviewed, she said that her outfit represented “the birth of hip hop”..but I also thought it was an odd choice to wear to an award show
On the other hand, it got her a LOT of publicity…and that may have been what she had in mind all along.
P.S. Maybe there WILL be some hip hop baby halloween outfits.
