As casting is wrapping up on the movie version of Sex and the City, former American Idol and Oscar-winner, Jennifer Hudson has found herself with a new job and another part to play. Hudson was cast in a role where she will portray a character who is the assistant to Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).
New Line Cinema is financing the picture and so far everything is set for those who loved the original show. All four original women and Chris Noth who plays Mr. Big are already signed on and will reprise their original roles.
Hudson just finished working on the film Winged Creatures, a drama featuring Dakota Fanning, Kate Beckinsale, and Forrest Whitaker. Winged Creatures is a Sony production. Hudson also has an album in the works for Arista Records, which is due out in the beginning of 2008.
