Prince Just Doesn’t Get It

PrincePrince who hasn’t put out anything popular since 1999 (the song, not the year) is planning to bring litigation against eBay, The Pirate Bay, and YouTube for using his art without his permission. In a statement, Prince said:

“YouTube…are clearly able to filter porn and pedophile material but appear to choose not to filter out the unauthorized music and film content which is core to their business success.” Prince is determined and feels that all musicians and artists need to work to reclaim their art.

In response, YouTube states that they are committed to enforcing copyright.

Wow. What a moron. I wonder if he thought for a second about the people that actually watch him on YouTube, realize he still exists, and then go and buy his old CDs. Removing this form of advertising will actually do him more harm than good, but it serves him right.
