Emmy Awards: Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series - Ricky Gervais

Ricky GervaisI am not a huge comedy watcher when it comes to sitcoms. That being said I am familiar with most of these actors. When it comes to these shows, I have absolutely no clue what is good and what’s not. However, I have to assume they are at least okay if they are up for an award. As I haven’t seen any of the shows I am gonna put in a guess for my projected winner this time. My projected pick is Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock.

Extras • HBO • Ricky Gervais as Andy Millman
Monk • USA • Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk
The Office • NBC • Steve Carell as Michael Scott
30 Rock • NBC • Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy
Two And A Half Men • CBS • Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper

Winner: Ricky Gervais

Thoughts: Ricky Gervais was not at the awards, but John Stewart offered to give the award to Steve Carell instead. He seemed pretty happy and him and Stewart had an intimate moment on stage as he “accepted”.
