Emmy Awards: Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie - Helen Mirren

Helen MirrenI didn’t see any of these options listed below. However, there was one I was really looking forward to seeing and that was Life Support with Queen Latifah. If anyone else had played that part with the options that are listed in this nominee list I would give it to someone else. However, I think she has what it takes to win this one. My projected winner for this one is Queen Latifah.

Life Support • HBO • Queen Latifah as Ana
Prime Suspect: The Final Act (Masterpiece Theatre) • PBS • Helen Mirren as Jane Tennison
The Robber Bride • Oxygen • Mary-Louise Parker as Zenia Arden
The Starter Wife • USA • Debra Messing as Molly Kagan
What If God Were The Sun • Lifetime • Gena Rowlands as Melissa Eisenbloom

Winner: Helen Mirren

Thoughts: Helen Mirren looked great in her dress with the standard short cut hair that she normally sports. She threatened to talk until the music came on because she likes the music, and she did just what she claimed she would do. She rambled for the music and when it started she said thank you and headed off with her Emmy.
