Emmy Awards: Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series - Katherine Heigl

Katherine HieglThis is a hot race as far as choosing a winner goes. If I had to pick someone from Grey’s I think it would go to Chandra Wilson. However, I am pulling for another Sopranos win. Of the two I think Lorraine Bracco has the best chance, but Turturro was fabulous this season. I swear I wanted to stab Janice with a fork every time she was on screen. That is definitely worth an Emmy. So, we will see how it goes.

Brothers & Sisters • ABC • Rachel Griffiths as Sarah Whedon
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC • Katherine Heigl as Isobel “Izzie” Stevens
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC • Chandra Wilson as Dr. Bailey

Emmy Awards: Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Miniseries or a Movie - Thomas Haden Church

Thomas Haden ChurchI didn’t have a chance to catch any of these shows when they were on television so I don’t really have too much to say about them. I am gonna guess the winner will be Aidan Quinn, but only because I am a huge fan and because there are two nominees for Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee so it must have been fairly decent.

Broken Trail • AMC • Thomas Haden Church as Tom Harte
Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee • HBO • August Schellenberg as Sitting Bull
Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee • HBO • Aidan Quinn as Senator Dawes
The Christmas Card • Hallmark • Edward Asner as Luke Spelman

Emmy Awards: Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series - Jaime Pressly

Jaime PresslyWhile there are six nominees on this list I only have my eye on two of them. Obviously, Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams is one of them as the devilish Wilhelmina Slater. The other one is my favorite ‘love to hate’ drunk on Showtime, Celia Hodes, who is played by Elizabeth Perkins. I hated her through the whole season last year so I am hoping that it goes to her. Although some of the scenes with Williams were pretty funny last year, so it’s a tough call.

My Name Is Earl • NBC • Jaime Pressly as Joy Turner
The Office • NBC • Jenna Fischer as Pam Beesly
Two And A Half Men • CBS • Holland Taylor as Evelyn Harper
Two And A Half Men • CBS • Conchata Ferrell as Berta
Ugly Betty • ABC • Vanessa Williams as Wilhelmina Slater

Music Awards for the Emmys – Music Composition, Theme Music, Lyrics, and More

Music awards are usually some of the awards that people don’t pay too much attention to when they are on television. However, if you’re interested in who won, the list is below. If you’re interested in my picks they are right here. For a series I chose Rome, but Ghost Whisperer was a close second. Miniseries I went with The Path to 9/11. Theme music was all about Dexter, because that song gets stuck in my head like you wouldn’t believe. The others are all on their own.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation • Law Of Gravity • CBS • John Keane, Composer
Ghost Whisperer • Love Never Dies • CBS • Mark Snow, Music and Theme by
Kidnapped • Pilot • NBC • WG Snuffy Walden, Composer / Music By

Emmy Awards: Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series - Terry O’Quinn

Terry O'QuinnThis is another good race for supporting actor in a drama series. Due to real life drama I am thinking that TR Knight might just nab this one. However, if you are going on quality, entertainment, and one hell of a performance this one should go to Michael Imperioli for his portrayal of Christopher Moltisanti on The Sopranos.

Boston Legal • ABC • William Shatner as Denny Crane
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC • T.R. Knight as George
Heroes • NBC • Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura
Lost • ABC • Michael Emerson as Ben

The Sopranos • HBO • Michael Imperioli as Christopher Moltisanti

Emmy Awards: Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series - Jeremy Piven

Jeremy PivenI really haven’t had a chance to see any of these shows. I suppose that means I need to watch sitcoms a little bit more. Of what I have seen from previews and things I would hope that Jon Cryer picks up the win though I think it might end up going to Kevin Dillon.

Entourage • HBO • Kevin Dillon as Johnny Drama
Entourage • HBO • Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold
How I Met Your Mother • CBS • Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson
The Office • NBC • Rainn Wilson as Dwight Schrute
Two And A Half Men • CBS • Jon Cryer as Alan Harper

Emmy Awards: Outstanding Childrens Program

I can’t stand Hannah so that one is an automatic out. As for the others, the only one I have really seen was The Suite Life with Zach and Cody, so that is the one I am going to go with.

Hannah Montana • Disney Channel •
Nick News With Linda Ellerbee: Private Worlds: Kids And Autism • Nickelodeon •
The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody • Disney Channel •

Emmy Awards: Outstanding Animated Program for Programming One Hour Or More

I haven’t really had a chance to see any of these shows. I watched Foster’s once for about five minutes. It was overly special for my tastes so I turned it off and that was pretty much it. For that reason alone I will skip the projected picks and just let it go to the nominees and winner.
