Orlando Bloom Walks Away from Car Accident

Earlier this morning (around 2:15 AM PST), Orlando Bloom was involved in a crash in Los Angeles. He was driving a car registered to the Director of Photography for Pirates of the Caribbean, Dariusz Wolski. The car in question, a 2003, Toyota Matrix was involved in a collision with a parked car, a Porsche Cayenne near the corner of Fountain and Vista.

The LAPD has stated that Bloom was driving in the Matrix when he was cut off by another driver. This caused him to veer into a parked car on the side of the street. He had just left the Green Door not 15 minutes earlier. The LAPD also states Bloom was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol when he crashed into the car. They did not perform any sobriety tests at the scene so it unclear at this time how they know this for sure.

According to TMZ, Bloom was seen in a video of the incident, walking away leaving the scene of the accident. He left two female passengers, one in the front seat and one in the back, in the car. Both suffered minor injuries. Bloom was advised by the Paparazzi to return to the car, to avoid hit and run charges. After this discussion, he turned around and returned to the scene. Our only though is he must have been dazed from the crash!

One of the women hurt in the crash was stylist to the stars, Cher Coulter. The other woman in the car remains unidentified at this point. Coulter suffered a fractured neck and laceration on her head. The other woman was cut by her seatbelt, which was caused by the force of the collision.

Orlando Bloom’s rep issued a statement today. Bloom said his thanks to the quick response from paramedics who arrived to offer emergency services to his passengers. He is said to have spent the night at the hospital with his childhood friend who suffered a minor neck injury.

TMZ is reporting the rep’s statement as saying:

“Orlando Bloom, who was in a minor car collision late last night, is grateful that no one was seriously injured. Bloom called for help immediately following the incident. He spent last night at the hospital to be with his childhood friend who sustained a minor neck injury. He is thankful that emergency services arrived so quickly and that the ER staff at Cedars Sinai took such good care of his friend.”

Not even 24 hours after the crash, it is now being reported that Orlando Bloom was acting inappropriately at the Green Door before leaving with the two ladies in the Toyota Matrix. He was said to have a “minor confrontation” with photographer, Damon Kidwell, who was there with his ex-girlfriend, model, Veronica Taylor. Taylor and Kidwell are said to be just friends, despite dating for three years.

TMZ also caught up with the man who owns the Porsche Cayenne to see if he was mad that Bloom hit his car. While he was a little peeved, he did mention it was “just a car”. If he owns a Porsche, I’m sure he can afford to replace it.
