Is DeGeneres a Dog Re-gifter?

Ellen has taken a lot of heat lately for her tearful plea to get a dog back that she gave to her hairdresser’s family. However, now people are saying when it comes to Ellen, this behavior is pretty common. Howard Stern claims that he knows of about nine dogs that Ellen has done this to, in the past. Granted, it’s Howard Stern we’re talking about, but he’s not the only one making these claims.

Kerri Randles is a L.A. producer who is telling Page Six that Ellen adopted her male dog Stormy two years ago. Randles says Ellen had the dog two months or less before she gave him away to one of her staff members.

Randles tells Page Six:

“She may have had it for much less time than that. I only say two months because that’s when I called to check on the dog and found out she no longer had it. I was totally shocked. I thought she was out of her mind.”

Randles goes on to say that Ellen acted neurotic and crazy. Apparently, when Ellen decided to keep the pup for a few days to see if the dog would mesh with everyone in Ellen’s home she offered a dressing room where Randles could tell Storm the news about going home with Ellen. Later, Randles received a call from Ellen who decided to keep the dog.

Randles says, “She acted like she was keeping it for life.”
