It isn’t news to me that Jodie Foster is a lesbian. Long have the rumors flown about Jodie, but never before had the talented actress, who has been in the business for the past 42 years, opened up about her sexuality. While it is no one’s business what Foster’s sexual orientation is, the fact that Foster came out on her terms and of her own accord is a sign that celebrities do have a choice of keeping their private lives as private as they want, as long as they want.

Out magazine, considered to be a leader in GLBT news took a step towards Paparazzi-ish behavior when it mentioned both Foster and Anderson Cooper 360 host, Anderson Cooper were two in the limelight who were gay, but content on staying in the closet. This article, which came out earlier this year, was disturbing, to say the least, considering the magazine is supposed to cater and support the GLBT community, not try and force members out of the closet. Still, Foster stayed silent until she was ready to, and that moment occurred during a speech she gave while accepting the Sherry Lansing Leadership award at the Women in Entertainment breakfast held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Foster said she wanted to thank her film partner, ‘my beautiful Cydney…who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss’.

It’s pretty sick when you can be a dog killer and still be honored by your teammates and coach. Not only did the Falcons coach mention at Monday’s football game (the Falcons took on the Saints) that he hoped Vick would be back, playing in the NFL, after he is released from prison a few years down the road, but two of his former teammates have paid tribute to their fallen comrade. I don’t get the mentality of those who honor a man who so brutality killed animals, but that’s just me.

DeAngelo Hall, who held up signs and wore MV7 under both eyes as he played, had this to say about his former teammate.

We’re still blaming him for losses we’re getting as a team and he’s not even here to play,” Hall said. “It’s a catch-22 he can’t win.”

WR Roddy Hall made his own t-shirt, which he wore under his jersey during the game. At one point, during the first quarter, he lifted up his jersey to reveal the shirt, which clearly said, “Free Mike Vick” on it. The black shirt with white letters made a splash during another rough game for the Falcons, who lost to New Orleans 34-14. White spoke of the effect Vick’s absence had on the team after the game.

Amid rumors that Tiffany Pollard is pregnant, the I Love New York reality star has admitted she wants to be a mother. Even scarier is the idea that Pollard hopes it happens sooner rather than later. After discussing speculation that one of the men from the second season of I Love New York got her pregnant, Pollard had this to say:

“There’s something that’s going on with me right now and…uh, I’m almost ready for mommyhood. I’m really nervous and I can’t believe I just said that, but there’s something starting to tick in me.”

“And you know, I’m only 25, I’ll be 26 in January, and I’m almost to that point where I can almost see myself being a mommy, like, real soon! So I think that’s next.”

I grew up watching Scott Baio on shows like, Happy Days, Joanie Loves Chachie, and Charles in Charge. After the success of those shows, Scott seemed to disappear into Hollywood obscurity until he appeared, like many formerly popular actors do, several years later on VH1. His show is called, “Scott Baio is 45…and single”. The title is kind of funny because Baio just turned 46 in September and he is no longer single.

While the show is in its second season, we have to wonder what it is going to be about now that Baio is no longer looking for love. He was married in a rooftop ceremony to his girlfriend, Renee Sloan. The ceremony was religious and will air on an episode in season two. Sloan recently gave birth to a baby girl, though details about the birth have been scarce. For Baio, it was the ‘right thing to do’ though when his show started, the playboy, who hung out regularly at the Playboy mansion, listed marriage as the farthest thing from his mind.

Way #1 to not get back your kids - Steal something then brag about it on national and/or international television.

It seems Brit Brit’s new Realtor, man, flavor of the moment, isn’t the only one who appears to be as dumb as a stump. Is Britney unaware that she’s on thin ice when it comes to her child custody hearing? I don’t think now would be the ideal time to start stealing things and then bragging about it to the paparazzi. She really has nothing up there, in her head, does she?

Britney has done plenty of stupid crap in the past year or twelve, but this one really takes the cake. After driving around, and around, and around in circles, TMZ is reporting that Britney stopped at a Van Nuys gas station to buy some gum. That seems like the way to get attention from the paparazzi. You know she was just asking for it!

To further the absurdity of her trip, Brit double back and headed into the gas station, snatched a lighter, and ran out triumphantly. It was like a 12 year old, snatching a candy bar and being proud they got away with it without the store clerk finding out. How juvenile of Britney, but boy was she proud of it.

Brit Brit has a new flavor of the day (or is it week?) and he just happens to be trying to sell her something (K-Fed anyone?). Didn’t Brit Brit learn the first time not to date boys who resemble Forest? At least Forest had a purpose in life and accomplished a lot despite his misgivings. The new guy, her realtor, doesn’t look like he has much going for him, except for his association with Britney, of course. When K-Fed is looking academic next to this guy, you know he’s got to be special.

TMZ calls him hunky, but I say he’s junkie. The twosome sat down at the Four Seasons for dinner, where they munched as Brit Brit wore her *attractive* pink wig. What else would you expect her to wear in such a classy joint? Here I thought *I* had problems, but Brit and her witless real estate wonder sure take the cake!

The rap world was dealt a double blow today with one rapper shot and the other found dead in his hotel room. It’s always sad to lose rappers, but it isn’t as uncommon as it should be. The rappers, both minor players compared to the likes of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, were legendary in their hometowns/regions and popular by those who knew of their music.

First, Rapper Pimp C was found dead in a hotel room at the Mondrian in Hollywood, California. The 33 year old rapper was part of the rap twosome UGK. Pimp C, also known by his real name, Chad Butler, rapped in Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin” track and with Outkast on “International Player’s Anthem (I Choose You)” along with the other half of UGK, his best friend, Bernard “Bun B” Freeman.

Butler, a native of Texas, was found in his bed dead. Jive Records offered a statement and their condolences to his family. It is now believed that the rapper died of natural causes and not a homicide or overdose. According to TMZ, there were no drugs or paraphernalia in his hotel room, he died on his bed, laying on his side, and he seemed to have been alone during the time of his death. An autopsy and toxicology reports will be released as soon as they are completed. Hopefully, they can shed light on his cause of death.

Documents from the Brit Brit/K-Fed custody hearings have finally been released. Included in the 300+ documents released to the public by the court are some of the documents from DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services). These documents list their concerns about the welfare of Jayden James and Sean Preston, while in the care of their mother, Ms. Britney Lynn Spears.

Britney wanted the judge to keep her schedule of custody private. She feels the paparazzi will try to infringe with her time with the boys and catch her…I don’t know…running red lights with them in the car, almost dropping them, and letting the lil buggers drive with her, while in her lap. I mean, she should be allowed to do that stuff in private, right?

Brit Brit and K-Fed have both been listed with DCFS as having “complaints” filled against them by random and anonymous parties for both neglect and abuse in relation to the boys. While most of the claims have been frivolous in nature, K-Fed must have impressed them enough and Brit not enough to warrant their concerns while the boys happen to be in her care.

Former American Idol contestant Jessica Sierra can’t get a break. After being arrested on charges of battery and cocaine possession, Sierra may face more than 11 years in prison. The judge who oversaw the arraignment hearing for Sierra wasn’t very forgiving to the Idol, who was denied bail. This all comes after Sierra was put on probation not two weeks ago.

As if her failed Idol attempt wasn’t embarrassing enough the judge decided to add insult to injury. TMZ is reporting that the judge in the latest case told Sierra, “Obviously the bar scene isn’t working out so well for you.”

Sierra not only faces the two felonies she’s also been charged with two misdemeanors, one for disorderly intoxication and one for obstructing justice in relation to a police officer. Right now, Sierra needs to focus on staying out of trouble and not on her budding (in her imagination) vocal career.

Amy Winehouse might be seeking help again. Her mother-in-law is absolutely delighted that the singer has canceled the rest of her tour in the UK because she believes it is one of the first steps needed to push Winehouse in the right direction to get help for her “rumored” addiction problems.

After Winehouse’s management team announced she wouldn’t be upholding her concert obligations throughout the rest of 2007, Georgette Civil, the mother of Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, let England’s Daily Mail know exactly how relieved she was that Winehouse had canceled her tour. She stated it was the best thing that could happen for Amy.

Georgette went on to say that Winehouse needed to be put into rehab where she believed Winehouse could be persuaded to get the help she needs. She believes that the only way that Winehouse will get over her addiction is to be left alone and given the time as well as the encouragement to get past her problems.

Currently, Civil’s son, Blake, is in prison awaiting trial in Pentonville. Of Blake’s absence and Winehouse’s state of mind, the Daily Mail reported her as saying:

Britney Spears is turning 26 today. The pop star and frequent paparazzi princess was spotted at the Scandinavian Mansion of Style last evening where she did some celebrating amongst the likes of Alli Sims, Paris Hilton, and Sharon Stone. At the present time it is unknown how Brit Brit will be celebrating, though you can bet it will be splashed across the gossip rags come tomorrow morning.

All of us at Gossip Giants wish the former pop star a Happy Birthday and hope with age brings wisdom. This is Britney we’re talking about though so it is pretty certain that she won’t. Nevertheless, we could only hope for the best! For those celebrating with Britney we hope they plan to bring their designated driver and avoid DUIs or running over members of the Paparazi. It’s a small order, but one that is necessary where Britney is concerned.
