It is an incredibly rare thing to hear about any actress complaining about working out and staying in shape. Radha Mitchell not only complained about having to work out she also took things a step further.
She told Women’s Health Magazine, “I want to see fat, sloppy actresses in good parts. Don’t you?”
That’s sweet of her isn’t it? I mean so few actresses that are overweight get the parts. Even the talented ones like Kathy Bates are rarely seen, unfortunately. However, as much as she resents working out she is not sure if she’s ready for the weight gain on her own. She went on to say, “But, that said, I’m not comfortable with the idea that one day I’m going to be, like, a saggy old lady on screen. But I’m getting there.”

Well you know what they say. You aren’t a female Hollywood star these days unless you’re an addicted, no-talent hussy, with a sex tape. Ta dah! Rumor has it that Elisha Cuthbert is attempting to become one of those elite stars. Cuthbert who has worked in the cast of 24 along with many other B-movies supposedly has a sex tape out there floating around.
Geno’s World says that if you’re worried about the validity of the tape you have nothing to worry about, as it seems to be the real thing. Continue reading →

I have had a chance to watch a few of these shows. In fact, some of them I watch on a regular basis. However, there is really only one that definitely deserves to win. I am picking The Sopranos for this one. It was one hell of a season and I was sad to see it end.
Boston Legal • ABC •
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC •
Heroes • NBC •
House • Fox •
The Sopranos • HBO •
Winner: The Sopranos

The best show awards are always some of the most important when it comes to Emmy night. This is one of the main reasons that people watch in the first place. When it comes to comedy I haven’t really seen many of these, but I don’t think that matters. Ugly Betty has this one in the bag. It’s one of the few comedies I watch. I have watched it from day one and have been in love with it since that first show.
Entourage • HBO •
The Office • NBC •
30 Rock • NBC •
Two And A Half Men • CBS •
Ugly Betty • ABC •
Winner: 30 Rock

I wasn’t going to write on the tribute that they did for The Sopranos on the Emmys. The performers that came up to sing a medley were excellent. However, the thing that caught my eye came when the cast of The Sopranos were announced.
The theme music for the show started and the cast filtered on the stage. A couple of the women wiped their eyes as they stood on stage. The Sopranos family, James Gandolfini, Edie Falco, Jamie Lynn Sigler, and Robert Iler came up from the floor as they walked some underground steps. In the few minutes that they remained on stage the entire audience was on their feet. It is rare to see such a display of respect for any show anymore, but if any group deserved it The Sopranos was definitely that group.

Like in the drama category there are just two actresses that I am really rooting for here. Sure, all of them gave excellent performances and in truth, I like all of them in their respective roles. However, when it came to choosing an Emmy winner for this category I was locked in decision between the beautiful Nancy Botwin, Mary-Louise Parker and America Ferrera who plays Betty Suarez on Ugly Betty. Despite my love of Mary-Louise, I think America has this one. My projected winner is America Ferrera.
Desperate Housewives • ABC • Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo
The New Adventures Of Old Christine • CBS • Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Christine Campbell
30 Rock • NBC • Tina Fey as Liz Lemon
Ugly Betty • ABC • America Ferrera as Betty Suarez
Weeds • Showtime • Mary-Louise Parker as Nancy Botwin

This was a rough one as far as who I wanted to win. I haven’t seen all the shows, but like most people I definitely have my favorite actresses. Based on the performances that I did see I was really stuck between two performers in this race. My favorites are Sally Field and Edie Falco. Something tells me that Falco may be the one to walk away with this one, and if she does I couldn’t be happier. However, I am going to choose the perspective winner as Sally Field.
Brothers & Sisters • ABC • Sally Field as Nora Walker
The Closer • TNT • Kyra Sedgwick as Dep. Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit • NBC • Mariska Hargitay as Detective Olivia Benson
Medium • NBC • Patricia Arquette as Allison Dubois
The Riches • FX • Minnie Driver as Dahlia Malloy
The Sopranos • HBO • Edie Falco as Carmela Soprano

I am not sure why Judith Light is considered a guest because she was in quite a few episodes. Perhaps it’s because she ended up in prison (on the show) and it’s likely that she won’t be on much anymore. She is definitely one of my favorites on this list though I am sort of rooting for Laurie Metcalf because her crazed hostage situation on Desperate Housewives was hilarious!
Desperate Housewives • ABC • Dixie Carter as Gloria Hodge
Desperate Housewives • ABC • Laurie Metcalf as Carolyn Bigsby
30 Rock • NBC • Elaine Stritch as Colleen Donaghy
Ugly Betty • ABC • Judith Light as Claire Meade
Ugly Betty • ABC • Salma Hayek as Sofia Reyes

I didn’t see any of these options listed below. However, there was one I was really looking forward to seeing and that was Life Support with Queen Latifah. If anyone else had played that part with the options that are listed in this nominee list I would give it to someone else. However, I think she has what it takes to win this one. My projected winner for this one is Queen Latifah.
Life Support • HBO • Queen Latifah as Ana
Prime Suspect: The Final Act (Masterpiece Theatre) • PBS • Helen Mirren as Jane Tennison
The Robber Bride • Oxygen • Mary-Louise Parker as Zenia Arden
The Starter Wife • USA • Debra Messing as Molly Kagan
What If God Were The Sun • Lifetime • Gena Rowlands as Melissa Eisenbloom

I didn’t have a chance to see any of these movies and I am not overly familiar with the actresses either, at least not to my knowledge. That being said I am going to leave this one to you to guess.

Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee • HBO • Anna Paquin as Elaine Goodale
Longford • HBO • Samantha Morton as Myra Hindley
The Starter Wife • USA • Judy Davis as Joan McAllister
Tsunami, The Aftermath • HBO • Toni Collette as Kathy Graham

When it comes to this one I didn’t see a few of the performances so I can only guess. I am rooting for Jean Smart for her guest role on 24 or Kate Burton who was on Grey’s Anatomy as Ellis Grey. As for who wins, it’s really anyone’s guess since I missed most of these roles.
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC • Kate Burton as Ellis Grey
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC • Elizabeth Reaser as Jane Doe
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit • NBC • Marcia Gay Harden as Star Morrison
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit • NBC • Leslie Caron as Lorraine Delmas
24 • Fox • Jean Smart as Martha Logan

This is a hot race as far as choosing a winner goes. If I had to pick someone from Grey’s I think it would go to Chandra Wilson. However, I am pulling for another Sopranos win. Of the two I think Lorraine Bracco has the best chance, but Turturro was fabulous this season. I swear I wanted to stab Janice with a fork every time she was on screen. That is definitely worth an Emmy. So, we will see how it goes.
Brothers & Sisters • ABC • Rachel Griffiths as Sarah Whedon
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC • Katherine Heigl as Isobel “Izzie” Stevens
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC • Chandra Wilson as Dr. Bailey
Grey’s Anatomy • ABC • Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang
The Sopranos • HBO • Aida Turturro as Janice Soprano
The Sopranos • HBO • Lorraine Bracco as Dr. Jennifer Melfi

While there are six nominees on this list I only have my eye on two of them. Obviously, Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams is one of them as the devilish Wilhelmina Slater. The other one is my favorite ‘love to hate’ drunk on Showtime, Celia Hodes, who is played by Elizabeth Perkins. I hated her through the whole season last year so I am hoping that it goes to her. Although some of the scenes with Williams were pretty funny last year, so it’s a tough call.
My Name Is Earl • NBC • Jaime Pressly as Joy Turner
The Office • NBC • Jenna Fischer as Pam Beesly
Two And A Half Men • CBS • Holland Taylor as Evelyn Harper
Two And A Half Men • CBS • Conchata Ferrell as Berta
Ugly Betty • ABC • Vanessa Williams as Wilhelmina Slater
Weeds • Showtime • Elizabeth Perkins as Celia Hodes

While it’s no longer a rumor that High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens made some naked photos that may or may not have went to Drake Bell (of Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh), now the rumors have escalated. Instead of some basic pictures, the new rumors include striptease Christmas videos for Drake. Bell’s reps have denied ever receiving photos of Vanessa in the buff, so if this video is real, there is no doubt that they will deny that, as well.
Ace Showbiz is saying:
