Jeanne Tripplehorn is known for her role as the occasionally bitter polygamist, first wife (of three), Barb Henrickson on Big Love. However, Tripplehorn is planning to take a little time away for that role to slip into another. She will be starring as Jackie Onassis in the new film, Grey Gardens.
In addition to Tripplehorn, Grey Gardens will star Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore. Lange will appear as the Aunt of Onassis and Barrymore, her cousin. The film will focus on some of the more eccentric members of the Kennedy clan.
Apparently, in the 70s, these lesser known members of the clan made some headlines when the health department threatened to raid their Hamptons mansion due to the fact that it was falling apart.
It has been announced that Sean Diddy Combs has just signed a multi-year development deal with Ciroc Vodka. Ciroc is one of Diageo PLC’s elite lines. Diddy will be making 50% of the profits, which could equal $100 million if the deal goes well and the vodka sells well.
Despite this, Diddy has told the AP that, “this is not an endorsement deal.” Instead he claims it is, “something that will have my daily attention.” Always one to be modest, Diddy mentioned that he wanted to work with Diageo because the company was well aware of who Diddy is and what he offers.
The funny thing about Hollywood lately is that anything and everything that hits the 20 year mark is now available to be remade. Movies that were made in the 1980s are now being redone because filmmakers think that they can make them better than they did back in the day.
I am just waiting for them to announce movies like The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Children of the Corn, and other great 80s films. The current one that will be entering the remake circuit is Child’s Play.
Child’s Play is all about a doll that has been possessed by a serial killer. The doll is given to a little boy named Andy as a present, and the doll later terrorizes the town. Paris Hilton thinks she would be perfect for the film adaptation of Dallas. Even though more stars than you could count have ran away screaming from this film, Paris is flailing her arms and begging to be noticed. However, even this director and producers have more taste than to allow Paris on for an audition, even if there is no one left.
Currently the only star that is staying on this sinking ship is John Travolta, who is set to play JR Ewing. Hollywood Backwash is reporting that Paris wants to play Lucy Ewing. The problem is Katie Cassidy (Supernatural, Click) is signed on for the role, according to IMDB.
Her people might have been saying that she wasn’t leaving rehab and that her little vacation was just a vacation with Daddy, but apparently there was little truth to those words. According to People Magazine sources, Lindsay is finished with rehab and won’t be coming back unless it’s for outpatient treatment. They even claim she’s going to be in a new movie…a tango movie at that!
“She’s finished the program,” one source says. “Lindsay is done, but she may come back for outpatient treatment. She over-extended her stay because she wanted to. She could have been out awhile ago, but she chose to stay.”
Lohan is already gearing up for her return to work: A source says she has plans to start filming her tango-themed movie, “Dare to Love Me”, in Los Angeles on Oct. 15. Plus, says the source, despite reports suggesting Lindsay is an insurance liability for film studios, Lohan has been insured for this film.
Remakes are a funny thing, and by funny I generally mean suck-filled and unworthy. If a movie is deemed a classic or even worthy of a second look, no one should be allowed to touch it because it’s highly unlikely that someone will do it better than it’s already been done. I have sat back and ignored my distaste for making sequels and remakes when they were unnecessary, but this one takes the cake.
Rumor has it that Sony Pictures is planning to remake The Karate Kid. This was a movie that was originally made in 1984. So, it’s not even 25 years old. This movie is so young that they haven’t even started the anniversary DVDs for it yet. However, they are rumoring that it will be remade.
Word on the streets is that Scarlett Johansson is behaving like a bit of a diva on the set of, He’s Just Not That Into You. Apparently, Johansson goes out of her way to use her star power on set, while co-star Drew Barrymore is the average, everyday girl.
Sources are saying that Johansson used three assistants to shield her with umbrellas while outside and had a shuttle drive her 100 yards to the set, even though Drew made it there on her own two feet. The source continued by saying, “Scarlett’s a total diva. Some people are cool, and others are not.”
It is an incredibly rare thing to hear about any actress complaining about working out and staying in shape. Radha Mitchell not only complained about having to work out she also took things a step further.
She told Women’s Health Magazine, “I want to see fat, sloppy actresses in good parts. Don’t you?”
That’s sweet of her isn’t it? I mean so few actresses that are overweight get the parts. Even the talented ones like Kathy Bates are rarely seen, unfortunately. Hudson was cast in a role where she will portray a character who is the assistant to Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).
New Line Cinema is financing the picture and so far everything is set for those who loved the original show. All four original women and Chris Noth who plays Mr. Big are already signed on and will reprise their original roles.

However, at the premiere for his new movie December Boys, Radcliffe who is just 18 spoke about a sex scene he has in the movie with Teresa Palmer, 21. While he was discussing the movie he warns viewers to be prepared, “It’s probably the least sexy scene ever.”
Mother of Tears is the third movie in The Mother trilogy by Dario Argento. While I haven’t seen or even heard of the other two movies, I am definitely considering looking them up now. This seems like just the kind of over the top horror that I love. You get to see Asia Argento in this one, as well. Not only that but people get set on fire, people threaten to eat a girl, there’s tons of blood, and that’s not even the half of it! So, if it sounds like something you’d like the trailer awaits you. If not, run while you still can!
