Elliott Yamin has become a pretty popular guy since he was booted from American Idol a few seasons ago. It’s funny how that works. The winner, Taylor Hicks, is known for being the worst selling Idol winner of all time, yet the contestants that lost to him couldn’t be doing better.
While Yamin is still technically an independent artist, his first CD had the highest debut of an album by an independent artist ever. His single, “Wait for You” has also been the fourth most played song of the year. Yamin is set to release his second CD on October 14. This particular CD is featured by NBC’s Sounds of the Season.
NBC chooses individual artists to put their own spin on classic holiday songs. Yamin is one of three artists that were chosen. The CDs go on sale exclusively at Target on the 14 for $6.99.

If you’re interested in seeing Britney’s ass (okay, I know you’ve seen it…so have I) here’s your chance. The Gimme More video was finally released and has ended up on the Internet. Youtube has removed the copy that was available there, but after a little hunting I found a suitable and legit copy of Britney reliving her days as a stripper. Oh wait, maybe that pole was to ensure she doesn’t fall down on her fat ass. Continue reading →

While the brother, boy band Hanson is alive and well (apparently), oldest brother in the band, Isaac Hanson is having some medical troubles. Hanson was hospitalized in Texas with a pulmonary embolism according to his reps. Hanson was admitted after complaining of severe chest and shoulder pains, following a Tuesday night show. According to his rep, “He underwent several tests throughout the night and has been diagnosed with pulmonary embolism (a clot in a blood vessel). Isaac is currently undergoing treatment and will be re-evaluated shortly by doctors.” Continue reading →

On Tuesday, The Game pleaded not guilty concerning three felonies that involve him pulling a gun during a pickup game of basketball at a South L.A. school. The charges included possession of a firearm in a school zone, criminal threats, and exhibiting a firearm on the grounds of a facility for minors. Currently The Game (Jayceon Terrell Taylor) is out on $50,000 bail. However, if convicted he could face upwards of five years in prison.
During preliminary hearings a man said that The Game punched him in the cheek after the two men having words. The incident occurred on February 24 during a basketball game at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex. The claims state that The Game punched one of the opposing players then pulled out his gun from a red Cadillac Escalade and threatened to shoot him.

If you’re thinking he is going to play someone’s baby daddy, show up as Vicki’s long lost son, or otherwise corrupt the fair town of Llanview, PA then sadly you are wrong. While Timbaland will be appearing in an upcoming episode of One Life to Live it will not be to play anyone other than who he is in real life.
Timbaland will be on the show to perform with Keri Hilson. The two will perform the hit single, The Way I Are. Timbaland is following in the footsteps numerous stars that have been on the show to sing including Chris Botti and Mary J Blige.

Justin Timberlake was on Oprah recently and when he was he had a lot to say about new loves and old flames. While Timberlake is not one to divulge too much about his private life he did say that Biel brings out the romantic in him. He also admitted that he likes singing to his new woman and said that when the two are not together due to his concerts and her movies, they communicate through webcam.
When it comes to Britney, Timberlake said the two were teenagers. When Oprah countered that they were famous teenagers, Timberlake admitted that he no longer knows Spears like he once did.

I am not sure why Judith Light is considered a guest because she was in quite a few episodes. Perhaps it’s because she ended up in prison (on the show) and it’s likely that she won’t be on much anymore. She is definitely one of my favorites on this list though I am sort of rooting for Laurie Metcalf because her crazed hostage situation on Desperate Housewives was hilarious!
Desperate Housewives • ABC • Dixie Carter as Gloria Hodge
Desperate Housewives • ABC • Laurie Metcalf as Carolyn Bigsby
30 Rock • NBC • Elaine Stritch as Colleen Donaghy
Ugly Betty • ABC • Judith Light as Claire Meade
Ugly Betty • ABC • Salma Hayek as Sofia Reyes

Christina and Tony performed together at the Emmys. It was, no doubt, in celebration of the multiple Emmys, the recent Tony Bennett special has won this year.
The duet sang “Stepping Out with My Baby”. As you can imagine both of them sounded incredible. Tony wore a suit with a light shirt and tie. Christina had on a colorful pink dress that was meant to be slightly loose though you could easily see that baby bump. She looked good. It was almost hard to recognize her. Both performers hung by the piano and backup dancers did their thing to make things more interesting. A little boring compared to the skanky show Britney put on at the VMAs, but t wasn’t a bad performance and certainly more on tune then Britney!

Music awards are usually some of the awards that people don’t pay too much attention to when they are on television. However, if you’re interested in who won, the list is below. If you’re interested in my picks they are right here. For a series I chose Rome, but Ghost Whisperer was a close second. Miniseries I went with The Path to 9/11. Theme music was all about Dexter, because that song gets stuck in my head like you wouldn’t believe. The others are all on their own.

After a concert the other night, Sting was left in Germany far away from the wife and kids. So, he did what any sexually free musician would do. He visited a brothel. Sting, who has six children was spotted going in, Relax, one of the most popular bordellos in Hamburg.
Reps for the bordello are saying that Sting was not in the club at all, despite pictures of him being taken outside. Meanwhile, Sting’s reps have said, “I do not know whether he went to this club. However, I would not be surprised if he went. It is nothing he would be ashamed of.” The rep also mentioned that Sting and his wife are open about their interest in strip clubs.

Most people expect pop stars to be morons. Former pop tarts like Britney Spears help perpetuate this image of stars that are idiots. However, Shakira is trying to turn all that around, at least for herself. Shakira spent the summer studying Western Civilization at UCLA. The interesting thing is that most of the class, including the professor had no idea who she was. Apparently, she told them that she was from Columbia and was taking the class due to interest and enjoyment.
So what did the professor say of the pop star to the AP? Robert Cleve, the lecturer in the class said, “She looked like just an ordinary student. She wasn’t flamboyant…she didn’t act like a big celebrity or anything. I was really impressed with how intelligent she was.”

Prince who hasn’t put out anything popular since 1999 (the song, not the year) is planning to bring litigation against eBay, The Pirate Bay, and YouTube for using his art without his permission. In a statement, Prince said:
“YouTube…are clearly able to filter porn and pedophile material but appear to choose not to filter out the unauthorized music and film content which is core to their business success.” Prince is determined and feels that all musicians and artists need to work to reclaim their art.
In response, YouTube states that they are committed to enforcing copyright.

Dane Cook has a new song floating around and BWE decided that they liked it so much that they needed to make this video. The video is hilarious, but the song is completely uncharacteristic of the comedy that Cook often offers his fans.
Watch the video and listen to the song. When you’re done let us know what you think.
