Well it’s official. The Writers Guild has gone on Strike. If you love reality television you will not have to worry about anything changing. If you don’t I highly recommend you begin to appreciate it or go buy some of your favorite television shows on DVD because otherwise you might be in trouble.

While some things like soap operas are set to suffer the worst, dramas like Grey’s Anatomy will not be that well off either. According to Patrick Dempsey, (McDreamy) on Grey’s Anatomy, the show is set through Christmas, but from there they might be ending the season early and unplanned. Most shows are going to be in a similar predicament. In fact, only one show may come out unscathed, permitting the strike doesn’t last for years. Lost is not due to begin until February. When it does, it already has 8 fresh episodes written, six of which have already been filmed.

American Idol starts Season Seven in about two months. However, right now the show is actually doing all of the taping for Hollywood Week. While this goes on some changes are being made behind the scenes that will rearrange how things work on American Idol.

Thanks to the racist comments made on tape by Dog (Duane Chapman), A&E has decided to cancel his show as they apparently no longer wish to be affiliated with him. This comes as a tiny bit of a shock, as the show is actually one of the highest rated shows on the A&E network.

A Spokesperson for A&E issued the following statement to Honolulu’s Star Bulletin:
“In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take Dog The Bounty Hunter’ off the network’s schedule for the foreseeable future. We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun.”

It’s a shock how quick this all came about. The tape was released and in less than two or three days Dog went from Bounty Hunter fame to having his show canceled and being labeled a racist. On the brighter side of things, if he didn’t save any of his money, he’d fit right in at any trailer park in the South.

Sure, I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that women have always been on daytime television. While that’s true, I am not talking just about women. I am seriously talking about the vagina. Tyra Banks is known for letting it all hang out on her show. Well know she’s devoting an entire hour to a discussion on vaginas. One can only hope there isn’t a slide show to go with this topic. The Vagina Hour with Tyra will air on Monday.

Tyra told People Magazine:
“I have wanted to do this show for two years. I know for a lot of women talking about what is going on in our bodies is extremely difficult, but it is incredibly important. We should be able to talk to our daughters, sisters, mothers and friends about our bodies and not be embarrassed. I hope after this show women will not be ashamed about what’s up down there.”

If you are one of many that are waiting for 24 to return this story may be just what you’ve been waiting to hear. In Seasons One and Two, Agent Tony Almeida rocked 24 as one of the shows best actors. When Tony’s wife and then Tony died I couldn’t help but want to hate the show for a minute. He was one of my favorite characters.

However, I never bought the fact that he was dead. There wasn’t a body and I have seen enough soap operas to know the deal. Apparently I was right! Are all the stars on Lost alcoholics and if so is it the show that makes them that way or is it just a prerequisite to get on the show in the first place? The latest Lost star to be popped for a DUI is Daniel Dae Kim, who has been on the show since day one.

Kim was arrested at 3:00 AM on Thursday and was released within two hours. At the time of arrest he was wearing a polo shirt and some shorts. Kim is certainly not the first Lost star to get caught getting his drink on. Other stars include Michelle Rodriquez and Cynthia Watros. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has also been arrested and in her case she was driving without a license and was said to have disobeyed the police officer she dealt with.

I cannot help but laugh when I look at the name of this show. It just cracks me up. I know Menudo was a big hit back in the day, but are we this desperate for reality television or for new music that we have to remake Menudo?

This is last nights opening for the first show of Saturday Night Lives new season. The man behind the KFed mask, is the comedic genius, Andy Samberg.

The show offers seven men and seven women. However, in the end only one idiot who can spell cat will prevail as the winner! I saw news today that the premiere of the new season of America’s Funniest Home Videos would be on ABC at 7PM EST. This marks the 18th season that the show has been on the air and makes it one of the longest running reality style programs in existence. Is it just me or did everyone else think this show was cancelled about 12 years ago? Seriously, the last time I watched this I was waiting to hit puberty and Bob Sagat was the host. Wow. I think I just made myself feel older with that one…

This year the show will be offering something new to winners. Apparently, there will be one show winner and one online winner that get to choose a magical vacation to one of ten destinations including Spain, France, Italy, Costa Rica, and other amazing spots.

When I think Bob Barker, I think Plinko and the scene were he beats the hell out of Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore. I usually don’t think about a sexist, racist kind of guy. However, someone seems to think that Bob Barker isn’t just sunshine and rainbows. He’s a jerk.

On October 4, a lawsuit was filed against Barker for wrongful termination and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The lawsuit was filed by Deborah Curling, a CBS employee who claims that Barker is guilty of sexual harassment and racial discrimination, which made the work environment incredibly hostile.

CelebTV is reporting that Curling and other employees (according to Curling) were “exposed to sexual and mental harassment, abuse, and racial discrimination. Defendant Barker created an atmosphere of terror on the show, as a result of which any employee who complained about the working environment or contradicted Barker was fired.”

In Rosie O’Donnell’s new book Celebrity Detox, she goes a couple of places that I am sure no one on earth was ever interested in going. One of those places was Barbra Walter’s vagina. I know…I know…but seriously…who wants to know if Barbra uses lube, much less, what kind?!

Rush and Malloy reported on Rosie’s on stage rant about Walters, which included her sexual lube usage.

Rosie also confided that she and the veteran newswoman were actually so close early on in her tenure as moderator that Walters recommended Rosie use Astroglide, which, she added, took her by surprise.

Sarah Silverman spoke to USA Today recently. During the interview, she spoke about various celebrities including Paris Hilton, David Letterman, Britney Spears, and Angelina Jolie.

She said that Paris handled herself well under the circumstances, which was nice considering past comments the hilarious comedian has made about Hilton. However, on Dave she said, “I love Dave. The old Letterman was back a little bit,” she says. “He was being a hilarious pain. I thought it was like old, classic Dave.”

On Spears and the VMA comments about Britney’s kids (who she no longer has custody of):

“My instinct is to answer honestly. People keep saying I’m still talking about it, but I’m not the one bringing it up. I’m over it. I loved the jokes.”
