The nominations for the best male artist were decent. I cannot say I was surprised by any of the nominations. I have my favorites and was betting one of them would win. Overall the group was worthwhile when it came to the nominations they received. The artists nominated were:
The nominations for the Earth Shattering Collaboration of the Year are all decent songs. This category was a little different for me because with this one I had a favorite. I was rooting for one group here, though I liked some of the other songs, as well. Coincidentally, my choice didn’t win.
Regardless, the artists nominated were:
Akon w/ Eminem – “Smack That”
Beyonce w/ Shakira – “Beautiful Liar”
Gwen Stefani w/ Akon – “The Sweet Escape”
Justin Timberlake w/ Timbaland – “Sexy Back”
U2 w/ Green Day – “The Saints are Coming”
This group of nominees has done it all this year. Well, either that or MTV thinks so anyway. I can see why this group has been nominated. They are talented, know how to rock, and put on a good show. I am glad to say that the person won who I thought would win (and thought deserved to win). I was rooting for one main person out of the following list and they got the prize!
The nominations for the Monster Single of the Year are all excellent songs. I had a seriously hard time guessing who would win when it came to these songs. Overall, the group offered plenty of good songs and made it hard to pick in the end. The artists nominated were:
Daughtry - “Home”
Fall Out Boy – “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs”
Avril Lavigne – “Girlfriend”
Lil Mama – “Lip Gloss”
Mims – “This is Why I’m Hot”
Plain White T’s – “Hey There Delilah”
Rihanna w/ Jay Z – “Umbrella”
Shop Boyz – “Party Like a Rock Star”
T-Pain w/ Yung Joc – “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)”
Timbaland w/ Keri Hilson, DOE, & Sebastian “The Way I Are”
Mother of Tears is the third movie in The Mother trilogy by Dario Argento. While I haven’t seen or even heard of the other two movies, I am definitely considering looking them up now. This seems like just the kind of over the top horror that I love. You get to see Asia Argento in this one, as well. Not only that but people get set on fire, people threaten to eat a girl, there’s tons of blood, and that’s not even the half of it! So, if it sounds like something you’d like the trailer awaits you. If not, run while you still can!
This is a short teaser trailer for John Rambo, which will be released in 2008. Stallone is getting kind of old for this major action productions so this may be a last attempt to gain some Rambo popularity before it’s too late for him to try again. It worked with Rocky, so we will see how this goes. For now, here’s an action packed clip for you to sink your teeth into.
Admittedly, like most people I was intrigued by the idea of seeing Angelina Jolie emerge from a lake covered in dripping gold and absolutely nothing else. So, I clicked, like I am sure many others will. However, the trailer looks pretty decent. If you are into the whole fantasy, CGI-effects thing you will love this movie. If you’re not, well, you still get to see Angelina Jolie naked and dripping with gold. So, either way there is something for everyone.
Jennifer Lopez new video, “Do It Well”, has been released. I have to admit that I do not normally watch music videos. Ever since MTV stopped playing them I haven’t really shown enough interest to look elsewhere or check them out online. However, I happened to come across this one and I have to say, for all the hype that was behind this, there isn’t much going on.
J-Lo is your standard tough girl, beating up all the guys. She has the typical dance moves and the song isn’t really anything that people will remember six months from now. The most interesting (if you want to go that far) aspect of the video is the fetish aspect and it’s poorly represented. When it comes to music videos, I have definitely seen better.
The battle continues in the sequel, Aliens vs. Predator Requiem. If you enjoyed the first AVP movie, you need to check this out. Aliens vs. Predator Requiem will be released on Christmas Day 2007.
This touching story introduces you to Ryan, who served multiple tours in Iraq and lost two of his closest friends. Ryan was inspired by their deaths to live life to the fullest and pursue his dream as a singer. This led to an audition on the X Factor. Luckily, the judges liked his attitude, his story, his star appeal, and the fact that with a little polish he’d be able to shine.
As if Simon doesn’t get enough grief from his opinions on the hit American television show, American Idol, a contestant auditioning for The X Factor UK went ballistic on Simon and the rest of the judges. In fact, I thought Dannii Minogue was going to cry.
In this episode, Rachael claims she’s better than Madonna. C’mon! Even Madonna has rhythm! Furthermore, Madonna knows how to sell herself, something Rachel doesn’t do with her snarky attitude and bad language.
Its good to see that the most intelligent fans are fans of Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay has had such a hard summer, with all the press about her drug problem, her DUI, her second DUI, and her multiple stints in rehab. Luckily, she has obsessed fans like this guy, who want her to know just how much they love her.
It’s hard to believe but there are still crazy fans who are on Chris Benoit’s side. He only murdered his wife and son after all…or maybe he didn’t even though all evidence seems to point towards him and nothing has been proven to the contrary. Regardless, here’s a new tribute to Benoit. Make sure to leave your thoughts on this one in the comment section.
All I can say to this video is…wow. I never knew there were actresses more over the top than Susan Lucci. This just goes to show why Soap stars aren’t typically taken seriously compared to other actors and actresses. Oh, by the way, they’ll be sending me my Oscar in the mail next week.
